Professional Studio 365 helps career newbies become rock stars. We understand that the transition from college to the workforce is often choppy. Why? For starters, everyone is tripping over themselves to tell you how to land the perfect post-grad job, BUT what they’re not telling you is how to succeed once you have the job.
That’s where we come in.
The name Professional Studio 365 comes from the notion that when artists create something, they often do it in a studio. Here, we create first-class executives, and our focus is on giving you the tools and resources needed to excel in your first year on your first job. (Hence, the 365.)
The idea for Professional Studio 365 came after my first boss and mentor Skip Lineberg coached me from naïve temp fresh out of college into someone who could convincingly represent his marketing firm in a proper business meeting.
It wasn’t easy.
While I never did anything so outlandish as to get myself fired, I was – to put it kindly – a little rough around the edges as a young professional. Among other gaffes, I used to wear feathers (yes, feathers) to work – not in a weird Bjork-Oscar-dress way – but as accents on outfits that were better suited for the club than the office. I would also come to work with wet hair, turn in assignments in cringe-worthy script fonts, and – worst of all – I would intentionally compete with my colleagues for choice assignments.
Looking back… I am mortified at my behavior, but I do understand that it was probably fate because – if I hadn’t been such a royal screw-up then – I wouldn’t have so many great stories and lessons to share with you now.
So, if you want to be seriously impressive in your first 365 days in the workforce, read on, join in, and visit often.
Just be sure to leave the feathers at home, okay?
